Skyros is the most southern island of the Northern Sporades and the largest island of the Sporades island complex (210 km2). It is located east of Evia, which is approximately 35 km away.
Access to Skyros is easy and economical, since it is connected both by ferry and by plane with the rest of Greece.

Skyros is connected by boat to the ports of Kimi and Volos.
From the port of Kimi, in Evia, there is a daily connection to and from Skyros, with Lykomides ferry boat. The trip's duration is 1 hour 45 minutes, while the prices for vehicles and passengers remain competitive. Kimi is 2 hours by car (or bus) from Chalkida and 3 hours from Athens.
From Skyros you can also take a boat directly to the other Sporades: Alonissos, Skopelos and Skiathos.
With frequent direct flights from Athens Eleftherios Venizelos and Thessaloniki airports, arriving at Skyros is even easier!
Skyros Airport, located in the northern part of the island, is about 17 km from Chora. Transfer to and from the airport is served by taxi or bus.
With an average flight duration of about 40 minutes and low air fares, your holidays start with no worries.
